MEET COUNCILMAN SLIFE

Councilman Charles J. Slife has the honor of serving the West Park / Kamm’s Corners neighborhood and is eager to carry the torch forward as Ward 17 becomes the new Ward 15. During his six years on Council, he has been a leading advocate for public safety, improved city services, city investment in West Park, and neighborhood growth.

As councilman, Charles strives to connect residents to city services, pass impactful legislation, and advocate for our great Cleveland neighborhood and its residents, who consistently have the city’s highest voter turnout. In all he does he prioritizes transparency, spending discretionary dollars on infrastructure, and including the voices of constituents in decision making.

Councilman Slife lives on Lucille Avenue with his wife and their children: a son and a daughter. They are eager to welcome their third child, a girl, in October 2025. The Slife’s are parishioners at Our Lady of Angels Church and love living in Cleveland’s best neighborhood: West Park.

The New Ward 15

The City of Cleveland currently has 17 wards. Beginning in 2026, the city will transition to 15 wards with updated boundaries designed to ensure fair and balanced representation. As part of this change, Ward 17 will become the new Ward 15, and residents will vote for their representative under the new boundaries on November 4, 2025.  Councilman Charles Slife is committed to keeping residents informed and making this transition seamless for everyone in our community.
